Challenge 6: Tourism

Contexto

Mass tourism harms host destinations and their residents, and is a global phenomenon in numerous destinations where the number of travelers has reached excessive proportions. The trend is described as "Overtourism": the excessive growth in visitor numbers that causes a place to become overcrowded, with residents suffering the consequences and permanent changes to their lifestyles, social well-being and access to common services and goods. This impact of tourism also exacerbates problems related to energy and waste.
